The Artist
I just went to see this after nearly not being early enough to get tickets but I’m so glad I did. It was fantastic! It was so nice to see something different in cinema instead of the constant re-makes being churned out every week. If you’ve seen it you’ll know it’s quite quirky and messes around with the whole idea of ‘silent film’ as well as being hilarious and upsetting at the same time. Apart from the five minutes my friend and I missed of it because we were attempting to control our silent laughing fit at a certain part of the film that wasn’t that funny to others but had us in continuous stitches, I enjoyed every second of it. Do you know how hard it is to be doubled over with laughter whilst staying silent? It doesn’t work and you look like a moron.
Jean Dujardin was amazing as the lead guy and he’s quite handsome. Oo-er. Check out his Golden Globe acceptance speech, he’s so humble and cute. I recommend this film so much.
